As mentioned, many of the events are free admission for public. However, considering the Korean Flavour Fiesta, there are merchandises, food products and travel packages which the public can purchase. These are considered revenue opportunities because normally they are sold at discounted rate which will appeal to the public during these kinds of events. (:
Korean Film and Dramas has always been very popular among Singaporean; Thus, Korea Festival 2008 would definitely not leave this revenue opportunity out. There is the Korean Film Festival from 1st November 2008 to 8th November 2008 to cater to Korean Film Addicts at a price of SGD10 each, EXCLUSIVELY only at LIDO CINEPLEX, SHAW HOUSE at OCHARD. It featured some of the Korea's highest-grossing blockbuster for 2008.
Although I do not consider myself a Korean Film Addict, SGD10 is still an affordable price because looking through the list of Film offered, some of them will never have the chance to be screen in Singapore if not for this Korea Festival 2008.
There are many partnership found for this Korea Festival 2008. Some of the sponsors are LG, SAMSUNG, KOREAN AIR, ASIANA AIRLINES, KOREA TOURISM ORGANISATION, etc.
From my point of view, each sponsor is a piece of puzzle, they have to come together to be able to form out the big picture. These sponsors have not only successfully helped to create more excitement and funding for the whole festival, but they have also gain higher recognition at the end of everything.
For example, at the Korean-Pop Night Concert, both KOREAN AIR & LG have prepared and give out a huge number of long blown-up bangs (clappers) to the audiences at the Terraces and Arenas Seats. The long bangs are very popular during concerts because they serve as attention seeker and cheering tools. Moreover, this Korean-Pop Night Concert will be recorded LIVE and on a later date, it will be broadcast in Korea on SBS Korea on 13th November 2008. [A 2hours & 20mins Broadcast]

When broadcasted, the Korean Audience will definitely recognise the KOREAN AIR and LG logos on those clappers. - To the Sponsors, this is the value which are investing in.

In addition, during the Korea Festival 2008, I believe there are Koreans who came all the way from Korea to help set up, perform and hold the events. The Hotel Accomoodation, Transportation Fee, Food and Beverages and most crucial, the Air Tickets are mostly sponsored by the various Government Agencies, Banks like Standard Chartered & #UOB and Airlines. This has a part in contributing to the economic values in Singapore too.
