- I am really happy to get an opportunity to try on their Korean Traditional Dress - Han Bok. Actually that was my main intention when I decide to go for the Korean Flavour Fiesta. If I have a chance to travel to Korea, I will want to get a hand of one of the dress.
- I strongly believe that the whole Korea Flavour Fiesta can be more interesting and more involving if they were to organise some Korean Traditional Games since there are still spaces around the Sky Park Amphithreate L3 at Vivo City. However, the Organiser might be worried about having too many activities happening at the same time, which will lead to difficulty in getting the crowd's attention back at the main stage.
- They had done the right thing of deploying more Korean Staffs compared to mostly Singaporean because they had succeed in creating a Korean-Orientated Feel. However, having Singaporean is still essential for communication purposes.
- I was able to put in a different viewpoint at the Korean-Pop Night as a Staff and not as a Spectacle. During the pre-event briefing, our Senior Instructor (Raymond) was telling us how the Koreans plan events. They are very detailed in what they are doing and they had meeting for the Korean-Pop Night Concert Plan Scale which lasted for long hours. It was his first time working with the Korean too. (We should learn from the Korean!)
- I was also quite disappointed regarding the way the concert tickets are distributed where most of the cheering crowds came from the Terraces and Balconies seats, which were considered the behind seats. (What image will the Korean Stars get?)
- The Korea Festival 2008's publicity effort was a huge success because I was able to read on their pre-event news and after-event news easily. Many promotion and Words-of-Mouth are spreaded throughout the Media and Online Forums too.
Overall, I can say that Korea Festival 2008 had used the Marketing Mix Tool effectively, especially on the Place, People, Programming, Promotion and Partnership. They are able to choose suitable venues for all their events and the staffs they deployed at the venues are customer-orientated. They had a range of programmes catering to different types of audiences and promotion efforts are sufficient.
(This is an video taken when I tried to wear on the Korean Traditional Dress - Han Bok)
It was really a waste that I wasn't be able to attend other Korea Festival 2008 events like Korean Film Festival, Korean Art Exhibition, etc. If not I would have more detailed Information and personal comments on the Festival.
However, I did enjoy myself through this Korea Festival 2008. There were many FIRST TIMES for me too. (:
