The ambience and atmosphere of the Korea Festival’s event settings at Vivo City and other venues will strongly affect the attendee’s experience and enjoyment at the end of the day. For example, Opening Ceremony (KOREAN FLAVOUR FIESTA) held at Sky Park Amphitheatre (L3) has provided the organiser a huge space to hold a performance stage and booths for different Korea Products, Culture Experiences and Travel Promotions. As an attendee, I must say that they have fully maximised the space (the potential to turn the whole level 3 into a CARNIVAL) given to hold their booth’s activities - everything was nicely spread out; no conjestion of crowd. (:

However, there are still enough spaces for more activities to be hold. If the organiser has arranged for new venue booths on the 2nd day - 2nd November 2008, I believe that there will be more crowd coming in to join the fun. Two days of Flavour Fiesta may not be long enough to sustain the crowd, although it was held over the weekend. There are people who might not want to squeeze with the weekend crowd. (Like me!) They should consider catering to weekdays' crowd too since it is during the holiday period.
In addition, It was an outdoor venue, and the weather for those 2 days was perfect which add on as an advantage to the experience for the attendees. Brochures and Postcards of the Korean Flavour Fiesta can be found at the front of the performance stage where it was the most visible to everyone. The staffs have also prepared some distributing event products like a handy fan and a pen. The handy fans are popular due to the warm weather and attendees are asking around where to get them (one of them was me).
This Flavour Fiesta is free entry for the public and attendees are encouraged to participate in the programmes planned for them, “Free Kim-Chi Class” and the “Try on the Traditional Korean Dress” being the two most popular. (There was timing for the classes and teachers’ guidelines.)
(We are able to try on the Han-Bok and are each given a free digital photo to bring home as memories)

There were a range of programmes of the whole Korea Festival 2008 which stretched over the 18 days. I strongly believe that these events are effectively in promoting Korean Culture in Singapore’s Community.
Five of these events are designed to appeal to a wide audience. These are: (1) the Korean Pop Concert, (2) Korean Flavour Fiesta (Korean Food Festival and Korean Pop Contest), (3) Taekwondo Performance Show, (4) Korean Film Festival, and (5) Charity Golf.
The other three events designed to attract audiences with a passion for high culture are (1) Korean Traditional Dance, (2) Korean Contemporary Art Exhibition, and (3) Classical Music Recital.
